Welcome to St. Mary's/St. Peter's Faith Formation.
When parents bring their child to the church for baptism, the celebrant states:
"You have asked to have your child baptized. In doing so you are accepting the responsibility of
training them in the practice of the faith. It will be your duty to bring them up to keep God’s
commandments as Christ taught us, by loving God and our neighbor." (Rite of Baptism, 39)
The Faith Formation Team at St. Mary's/St. Peter's Parish is dedicated to helping families in this most important task.
We offer grade-level instruction for grades 1 - 9, and Sacramental Preparation Classes for
First Sacraments (Reconciliation and Communion) and Confirmation.
We also offer a summer Vacation Bible School program.
Giving a high priority to weekly attendance at Mass and fitting faith formation and sacramental preparation
classes into busy family schedules teaches our children that our Catholic faith has meaning and value.
